Contracts Lead
Job Purpose
* Provide specialist knowledge and guidance in developing, supporting, and executing complex and high-value EPC contracts for the North Field Production & Sustainability (NFPS) Project.
Key Job Accountabilities
1. Preparation of tender packages and coordination of tendering process with Supply, and other
PMT functions as required. 2. Formulate tendering and contracting activities, including comprehensive engineering,
technical and commercial reviews of scope of work documents received from various project teams to evaluate and mitigate any potential risks to the project.
3. Review technical bids for complex and high-value services, leading to the establishment of suitable contracts to facilitate project execution.
4. Provide specialist expertise in contracting processes, ensuring the latest financial, technical, and SHEQ standards are embedded in the documentation.
5. Examine the scope of work and commercial documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory, company, and local standards.
6. Participate in contract audits, review records for accuracy and conformance to standards, and address any audit findings for compliance with established procedures.
7. Steward the EPC Contractor's activities with respect to contract administration, ensuring that all affected parties are familiar with contract terms and conditions, contract provisions, coordination procedures, contract objectives, and overall job requirements. In addition, coordinate any required communication with the EPC contractor to resolve warranty, payment, and milestone issues.
8. Take the lead in preparing contractual responses to the EPC Contractor. 9. Facilitate close-out by ensuring contract obligation has been fulfilled and invoices have
been paid and that no outstanding claims exist and all deliverables have been received and approved.
10. Ensure the timely close-out of all claim-oriented correspondence to avoid potential claims.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Commerce, Marketing, Sciences, Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Law, Communication, Technologies, Mathematics, or Statistics
Knowledge and/or Experience
* Minimum 8 to 15 years experience in a business-related function or discipline, including 4 years in the Oil & Gas Industry, and including 1 year experience in a supervisory or acting role, or oversight of contractor/subcontractor/service/vendor personnel.
* Experience in handling reimbursable procurement for major EPC contracts would be preferred.
