Quality Lead
Job Purpose
* The Quality Lead (Train 4) coordinates effective implementation of the Project Quality Management program and ensuring the effective implementation of Contractor's Quality Management System during the execution of the Trains 4&6 Restoration Project.
* Responsible for implementing quality inspection systems and maintaining a close working and reporting relationship with the Head of Quality (Trains 4&6).
* The Quality Lead is responsible for coordinating the implementation of Construction Quality and Completions Surveillance Programs and providing direction to PMT site QC Inspection personnel.
Reporting and Relationships
* Reports to the Head of Quality Train 4&6.
* Direct reports: N/A.
Internal
* Continuous contact with Project Quality Team and Construction, Completions and Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Teams.
* Close collaboration with the Head of Quality (Train 4&6)
External
* Continuous contact with EPC Contractor and Subcontractor.
* Frequent contacts with offsite vendors.
Job Context & Major Challenge(s)
* Analyse data effectively and decide on which information is relevant to Project.
* Communication and influencing of others (EPC Contractor, Subcontractor, vendors in a multi-cultural environment, while based at Ras Laffan site.
* Manages the resolution of problems in more demanding and less familiar situations using precedent and own acquired knowledge.
* Has high visibility to PMT Construction Teams and EPC Contractor and Subcontractor. Recognizes that errors have significant impact on external parties.
* Ensure there is quality, effectiveness and consistency in Construction processes, systems, procedures and work products while adhering to established Construction/Fabrication/Installation processes and quality procedures.
* This role requires strong leadership and technical experience to drive the EPC Contractor and his local Subcontractors to execute the Construction scope of work according to the quality requirements and implementation of lessons learned from past projects.

* Ensure all activities are undertaken in compliance with Company Safety, Health and Environment and Quality policies, regulations and standards.

Firewall Compliance
* Ensure all activities undertaken comply with anti - trust and competition laws and the Company firewall policies and procedures.
Key Job Accountabilities
1. Monitors the effective oversight of Contractors Construction surveillance/quality efforts and supports the projects surveillance programs.
2. Conducts Company Construction Quality Verification (inspections) in accordance with approved I&TP.
3. Reviews and provides comments to Contractor's Project Quality Plans, I&TP's and procedures. 4. Applies extensive hands-on, industry-based experience and knowledge to promote, and
establish and implement existing systems, processes and procedures within a structured quality framework.
5. Conducts Construction Assessments (CA) to verify Contractor's quality management system and project specification compliance.
6. The Quality Lead must exhibit a high degree of computer literacy and coordination skills. 7. Demonstrates the highest level of integrity in dealing with all parties and communicates
concisely in written and verbal context; prepares high quality written reporting.
8. Report input to the Head of Quality (Trains 4&6) on quality performance metrics and KPI's related to QA/QC activities.
9. Review quality documentations/record such as Quality Plans, ITP's and other Contractor's deliverables as directed by Head of Quality (Trains 4&6).
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Sciences or Engineering
* Additional quality, welding or NDE inspection related qualifications
Knowledge and/or Experience
* 8 years' experience in Quality in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
* Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies.
* Knowledge of Industry standards
Technical and Business Skills
* Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills
* Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to influence decisions using presentation, negotiation and facilitation skills.
* Ability to manage development and implementation of Quality Management Systems adapted to Oil & Gas industry.
* Ability to interact with project management team and Contractors confidently.
* Requires strong analytical, organisational, and planning skills
