Engineering Lead (Piping-C2 Recovery)
Job Purpose
* Provide technical and discipline support for all piping and layout engineering activities related to Ethane recovery project through integrated FEED and EPC phases ensuring that designs, studies and engineering deliverables comply with approved industry standards, safety requirements and operational objectives throughout the project lifecycle. Support technical assurance, discipline capability development, resource planning, and the evaluation and approval of deviations, while advising project teams and stakeholders to ensure safe, reliable and fit for purpose technical solutions.

Job Context & Major Challenge(s)
* Conducts technical evaluations of multiple EPC tenders for large, capital projects, including risk-based evaluation of complex technical issues, which may have a significant commercial impact on project execution, ensuring they are compliant, technically qualified, and consistent with project requirements.
* Major challenges for this role are (1) effectively managing Contractors and Piping Engineering discipline to deliver technical input in accordance with project requirements, (2) maintaining constructive working relationship with contractor to ensure delivery of engineering work scope in accordance with project requirements and (3) maintaining relationships with stakeholders (e.g. Operations and SHEQ) to ensure alignment of Process Engineering deliverables.
* Ensure all activities undertaken comply with anti - trust and competition laws and the Company firewall policies and procedures.

1. Lead the piping engineering discipline skill pool recommending the allocation of technical authorities and ensuring the provision of high-quality technical services to projects.
2. Approve and endorse process engineering designs through delegated technical authorities in accordance with approved standards, codes, and specifications at all stages of the project life cycle.
3. Review and assess concepts, studies, and detailed designs to assess technical suitability, compliance with standards and alignment with end user operational objectives and recommend optimized technical solutions as required.
4. Develop and sustain technical competencies within the discipline by supporting capability building, knowledge transfer and continuous professional development of process engineering resources.
5. Provide technical input to project execution strategies to ensure alignment with discipline and technical requirements, design philosophies and safety and operability standards.
6. Recommend resources planning and deployment to meet the project execution requirements including technical input to recruitment mobilization and competency validation for process personnel.
7. Advise and guide project teams on all piping and layout engineering matters throughout all stages of projects that is from concept, FEED, detailed design, construction, commissioning and startup phases.
8. Plan and coordinate the activities of piping and layout engineers to ensure timely and effective delivery of technical services of technical services to project execution and operational support teams.
9. Support discipline head in managing discipline standards and technical assurance, including implementation of standardization initiatives and compliance oversight across projects.
10. Approve and endorse technical deviations, waivers and variations to approved guidelines, codes, standards and practices within the limits of delegated engineering authority.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Knowledge and/or Experience
* 8 years of experience in Engineering roles, including 4 years in the oil & gas industry, including 1 year in a supervisory or acting role, or oversight of contractor sub-contractors/service/vendor personnel.
* Basic knowledge of 3D Modelling software (PDS/SP3D).
* Senior Piping and Layout Engineering supervisory level with a broad knowledge of NGL Design and Engineering execution on projects including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, offshore facilities design, construction and operations.
* FEED and EPC detailed design experience with large utilities systems in Inlet facilities.
