Construction Area Manager (Process)


Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in sciences or engineering.

Knowledge and/or Experience

* 12 years experience with Large Projects in Construction related disciplines (e.g., construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up, etc.) in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 3 years of management level experience in Construction related disciplines, engineering, or project management with overall responsibility for an EPC execution.

* Experience with Oil and Gas companies, contractors, service companies, or heavy construction companies.

* Broad and extensive knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria related to major fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution, and hook-up, as applicable to the project scope.

Extensive knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities.

* Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects,

* Proven track record of Project delivery in the industry and managing EPC contractors and sub-contractors.

* Excellent track record in construction safety results.

* Proven experience with Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) methodology and systems completion management and associated databases.

* Requires to be inventive on construction execution and methods, bring experience from other large and complex projects, in particular LNG Plants.

* Experience with major and first tier EPC Contractors, Sub-contractors and Vendors involved in the oil and gas industry.

* Requires the ability to influence on the technical decisions to achieve a flawless construction execution and transition to commissioning.

* Experience with multi-cultural type Projects.

Experience with LNG Projects.

Technical and Business Skills

* Technical background as a discipline engineer and experience as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer, Construction Superintendent or Manager with solid Project Execution experience.

* Strong background in fabrication, construction and management of large green field construction activities.

* Demonstrated capacity to take workload, work with accuracy, take initiatives, be inventive and can multi-task.

* Strong technical and analytical skills.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
