Architectural Lead


Job Purpose

* Lead activities with respect to architectural engineering of offshore structures related to living quarters, helidecks, topsides, LERs, human factor engineering, area finishings and fire-proofing requirements, space and safety requirments, brownfield modifications, detailed design, technical and execution definition, procurement, material approval, installation and testing/commissioning. Review project technical requirements and ensure compliance

Reporting and Relationships

* Reports to: Head of Engineering (Facilities)

* Direct reports: None

Internal

* Frequent contact, interface, and collaboration with other disicplines Leads, Heads and Engineering Division Manager in NFPS Compression organisation.

* Periodic contact with Operations team, other NFPS Projects, and stakeholders

External

* Frequent contact with EPC Contractor/subcontractors and project stakeholders

Job Context & Major Challenge(s)

* Implement the delivery of architectural detailed design, risk-based evaluation of complex technical issues

* Ensuring detailed design deliverables are compliant with project requirements, while meeting required quality expectations.

* Coordinate the delivery (content and timing) of deliverables in accordance with project requirements from EPC Contractor.

Key Job Accountabilities

1. Coordinate activities in respect to architectural engineering of offshore structures detailed design, technical and execution definition, procurement, installation and testing/commissioning.

2. Coordinate the activities of the EPC contractors, vendors and subcontractors, as required, to ensure quality assurance and production timing of the architectural deliverables are in accordance with the approved project execution schedule and budget.

3. Analyse technical attachments and scope description of structures related purchase orders to ensure compliance with scope description in related contracts.

4. Ensure architectural design is in accordance with the project's change management program and consistent with the offshore structures engineering schedule and critical milestones (LLI procurement, engineered equipment procurement; ROS dates, etc.); steward recovery plans to address any schedule delays and resolution of Contractor's engineering claims, if any.

5. Supply previous lessons learned knowledge to enhance project performance and ensure that current project lessons learned are captured for future reference.

6. Assess Contractor's architectural related activities in respect to engineering execution by ensuring plans, procedures, objectives, and overall job requirements adhere to specifications, standards, and design verification processes.

7. Cooperate with review teams and support post-audit activities related to architectural design.


Part B: Person Specification - Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Architecture.

Knowledge and/or Experience

* 8 years experience with Large Projects in Construction related disciplines (e.g.,construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up, etc.) in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel

* Broad and extensive knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, appropriate safety criteria, offshore facilities and structure design, construction, operations, and engineering administration.

* Experience with Oil & Gas Companies, EPC contractors, sub- contractors, vendors or service companies involved in the oil and gas industry.

* Strong knowledge and application of international engineering standards, specifications and design.

* Experience with risk assessment approach in decision making.

* Experience in technology adoption and implementation of continuous improvement.

* Experience working in large scale integrated operating organizations in Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc.

* SME level competency in at least one Engineering Discipline.
