Job Description - Project Shutdown Planner

Part A: Job Specification

Job Purpose

* Support planning functions for Category IV to VI projects shutdown scopes in line with Shutdown management System (SDMS) and ensuring the implementation of project shutdown scheduling and monitoring processes for the department.

Reporting and Relationships

* Reports to Lead of Project Planning.

Internal

* Frequent contact with Project management teams, Operations maintenance shutdown teams, Asset Planning teams and Shared Services.

External

* Regular contact with project contractors & vendors and 3rd party service providers.

Job Context & Major Challenge(s)

* Role is concerned with providing assistance to ensure timely and in- budget execution of complex brownfield projects shutdown scopes by providing functional planning process knowledge and expertise.

* Major challenges are (1) Uniform application of SDMS processes, (2) Wide spread Geographical locations in QG-N LNG, QG-S LNG, Barzan, AKG, LR, etc. (3) High numbers of shutdowns every year requiring execution of projects shutdowns scope, (4) Unit shutdowns, unplanned emergency jobs

Key Job Accountabilities

1. Support integrated shutdown planning process by incorporating Projects shutdown scope Planning, Scheduling and Progress reporting for CAT-IV to VI projects in compliance with SDMS processes.

2. Ensure shutdown planning and scheduling processes delivery to meet department objective.

3. Maintain clear reporting and lines of communication requirements for shutdown planning and scheduling with projects management teams and maintain close working relationships.

4. Review contractor's deliverables pertaining to Hourly shutdown schedules, durations, logic, productivity, target completion dates compliance, resource loading, Manpower, Equipment, organization chart, Weekly, daily and shift progress reports as applicable during Pre- Shutdown, Shutdown and Post-Shutdown phases.

5. Support projects management teams, Maintenance shutdown teams and contractors in project shutdown schedule alignment and clash reviews, finalization of integrated hourly shutdown schedules, communicating Lookahead plans, reviewing recovery plans and ensuring timely inputs by the contractors.

6. Provide shutdown scope schedule and status input to PPSD and PMD stakeholders during Pre- Shutdown, Shutdown and Post-Shutdown phases.

7. Track and followup SDMS Gate deliverables pertaining to projects shutdown scopes.

8. Support development and review of recovery plans in case of delays

9. Provide day shift and night shift coverage during shutdown phase.

10. Critical and Near-Critical path analysis and communications.

11. Support performance analysis process leading to benchmarking and increased awareness of best practice pertaining to base business in projects control functions.

12. Support enhancement of work methods and practices within a projects control functions.


Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

Knowledge and/or Experience

* 5 years' of multi-discipline experience in the oil & gas industry with special emphasis in project shutdown planning and scheduling across the project phases.

* Proficiency in Primavera and MS office softwares

Technical and Business Skills * A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English

* Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications

* Strong planning skills.
