Job Specification


Job Purpose

  • Reporting to the NFXP Offshore Procurement Division Manager the Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the NFXP Offshore NFW Topsides, Jackets and pipileines procurement requirements to ensure objectives are met within the approved scope, budget and schedule and to ensure that all work is completed in accordance with quality standards applicable.

Project Key Accountabilities

(Duties include but not limited to)

  • Reviews the procurement activities of contractor with those of the PMT to ensure that company's procurement objectives are met with regards to cost, schedule and quality.
  • Stewards contractor's performance to ensure their compliance with company's requirements and approved procedures
  • Reviews and approves contractor's procurement procedures and documents.
  • Participates in review of contractor's vendor quality control effort. Assists contractor in resolving procurement issues and problems. Assists CONTRACTOR in evaluating prospective key vendors and coorodinate in the case of addition to Project Vendor List.
  • Cooperate with Quality department to ensure EPC contractor's items meet the project quality requirements.
  • Reviews and monitors EPC contractor's procurement plans for purchase of CONTRACTOR's scope and EPC contractor's handling COMPANY items.
  • Review and monitors EPC contractors' materials management plans.
  • Works effectively within established policies and procedures, and participates in the further development of these to meet changing needs.
  • Receive vendor completed EPLs through EPCI CONTRACTOR complete review for completeness and carry out necessary actions to ensure completeness of information prior to issuing to OPCO. Monitors formal finalisation of EPC contractor's procurement of spare parts

  • Accountable for project material purchase order process including expediting and delivery within the required project timeline.
  • Interfaces with various project teams and departments to resolve related issues.
  • Requires effective communication, initiative, flexibility and an ability to induce collaboration.

Minimum Requirements


Technical and Business Skills


  • A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications





  • Qualifications


  • Degree or similar, relevant experience maybe taken if coupled with HNC/HND, however any qualification, technical or knowledge requirements may be waived through relevant work experience.


  • Knowledge and/or Experience

    • Co-ordinates all procurement requirements of the NFW Project, to ensure the technical and commercial objectives are met within the approved scope, budget and schedule.
    • Accountable for project material purchase order process including expediting and delivery within the required project timeline.
    • Interfaces with various project teams and departments to resolve related issues.
    • Requires effective communication, initiative, flexibility and an ability to induce collaboration. Successful track record in similar roles on large international projects.
    • Computer literacy and development skills.
    • Coordinate all procurement requirements of the NFW Project, to ensure the technical and commercial objectives are met within the approved scope, budget and schedule.
    • Accountable for project material purchase order process including expediting and delivery within the required project timeline.
    • Interfaces with various project teams and departments to resolve related issues.
    • Requires effective communication, initiative, flexibility and an ability to induce collaboration. Fluent English.
