Part A: Job Specification


Job Purpose

  • Provide Environmental and Industrial Hygiene direction, guidance and leadership for the Onshore Project across all EPC Packages. This includes Environmental and Industrial Hygiene procedures for activities, associated camps, construction, commissioning and related facilities and/or project sites.
  • Conduct inspections, audits and analyze results of Environmental and Industrial Hygiene studies, activities and ensure reports are in line with applicable Project and Client LNG policies and procedures as well as State of Qatar regulatory requirements. Prepare all documentation, statistics and required actions taken and required to their Client LNG managers.
  • Contribute to incident investigations related Environmental and Industrial Hygiene related matters to ensure accurate root cause analysis and legislative reporting requirements. Support & advise PMT SHES, EPC Contractor's, subcontractors and liase with Client LNG, Client and State of Qatar authorities as directed by their Division Managers.


Key Accountabilities

(Duties include but not limited to)

  • Contributes to the establishment of the project Environmental and Industrial Hygiene process including surveys, assessments, sampling, monitoring, inspections, audits, investigations, action tracking and other necessary tasks requested by managers or required for the Onshore Project, Client LNG policies and procedures as well as relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Provide oversight and support for all Environmental and Industrial Hygiene deliverables across all project EPC packages in line with project requirements, regulatory bodies (e.g. MOEE, Client, Project, Client LNG and other applicable authorities).

Job Context & Major Challenge(s)

  • Supports the project in terms of all Environmental and Industrial Hygiene implementation, SHES performance and compliance with strategies, procedures, systems, and and Lessons Learned on the Onshore Project including site and camps.

Technical and Business Skills

  • Strong teamwork, facilitation, with the ability to communicate and interact at all levels of the organization

  • Team player who can effectively collaborate within Project Teams and with external parties.
  • Able to identify and analyse complex issues and provide recommendations.

  • Takes responsibility for own work products and can perform at high level without supervision.
  • Computer literate, familiar working with Microsoft office applications.


Behavioural Skills


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in any Environmental or Industrial Hygiene or related sciences or alternative.
  • 10 years experience in Environmental or Industrial Hygiene related field.

Knowledge and/or Experience

  • Has performed or received training in Environmental or Industrial Hygiene tasks such as:

Environmental Impact Assessments, Spill/ dangerous waste planning/activities, soil, water, air sampling/monitoring, waste segregation/recycling/reuse, waste/potable water distribution/treatment, chemical assessment, PPE selection/use, facility food safety, occupational hygiene assessments, audits, inspections, regulatory reporting, emergency response planning, heat stress planning/mitigation, submitting and analysis of lab reports, or other related duties.

  • International project experience with Tier-1 EPC Contractors or Client, involved in the construction of onshore production facilities (i.e. greenfield and brownfield work).
  • Sound knowledge of the project execution process in large-scale project environments (expenditure >US$ 1 Bn).
