Engineering Specialist (COMP3 Telecom)

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Eng., Electrical Eng., Electronics Eng., Computer Eng., Systems Eng.

Knowledge and/or Experience

* 8 years' experience of Telecom/Instrument Engineering, preferably in a major project environment within the oil and gas industry and having a broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, offshore facilities design, construction, and operations.

* Experience with major EPC contractors, sub-contractors and vendors involved in the oil and gas industry

* Experience with projects, Shareholder projects (e.g., Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil, Shell, TotalEnergies, etc.)

* Previous Brownfield and Greenfield engineering and execution knowledge in both Offshore and Onshore areas.

* Proven working experience with relevant international standards, in particular IEC, IEEE, BS, NFPA, NEC, API etc.

* In-depth knowledge in Hazardous area classification for Telecom & Instrument applications.

Technical and Business Skills

* Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications

* Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from variety of cultural backgrounds

* Worldwide experience with contractors in particular those involved in the construction of Offshore LNG production facilities

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a PMT
