Construction Lead (CP Preservation)

Job Purpose
* Oversee the planning preparation and execution of all aspects of the Compression Platform material preservation requirements of the project from yard activities to load out ensuring all key objectives are achieved or exceeded.
* Ensure the effective implementation of Contractor's preservation plan and resources for material and equipment during storage, installation and transportation for Compression Platform.
Reporting and Relationships
* Reports to : Construction Division Manager.

* Frequent contact with Major Project team (e.g. NFPS project Team)

* Regular contact with Other Engineering department and Support Organizations
* Regular contact with relevant Operations Organizations (e.g., Operations and Maintenance)
Job Context & Major Challenge(s)
* Directly involved with the development of fabrication plans and execution of the plans overseeing Compression onshore fabrication scope responsibilities and duties safely, efficiently and effectively.
* Ensure that there is sufficient and balanced resources and technical expertise available to support the stakeholders, efficiency in resource deployment to support the CP Topsides fabrication activities and respect of planning.
* Major challenge for the role is maintaining strong interfaces between Company and Contractor and Contractor teams to ensure alignment and issue resolution.

1. Ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and regulations during fabrication process.
2. Manages and ensures successful execution of CP Topsides fabrication project components to meet prioritized objectives (Safety, Quality, Schedule, and others, as appropriate).
3. To implement the Project Preservation Plan and ensure the effective implementation of Contractor's Project preservation plan and procedures, relating to preservation and storage of all purchased equipment and materials are compliant with project specifications.
4. Develop and implement a Preservation Surveillance Plan for all procured equipment and materials.
5. To actively participate in Quality preservation walkdowns with site PMT to confirm that preservation activities are conducted in accordance with agreed plans
6. To review deviations to construction standards for comments with Contractors / Subcontractors input, to deliver a consistent dossier (documents, materials, procured and fabricated items, precom/com dossiers, as built …) for the construction activities.
7. Review Contractor's progress reports and reports for all the activities, highlighting critical problems, drifts and dysfunctions if any.
8. To Liaise with Contractors/Subcontractors for all structure subject, MC,Pre-commissioning and Commissioning to ensure the Contractors/Subcontractors progress follow up and reporting. Bring execution solutions that favour safe construction execution and transition to Commissioning activities.
9. To lead and contribute to Risk Assessments kick off meetings and Pre-Job Meetings, technical meeting etc. as required in accordance with Company's referential.
10. To participate to REX and Lessons Learned for the Company. Responsible for implementation of lessons learned from previous projects with QatarEnergy LNG and/or Contractor, as well as capturing and communicating construction lessons learned for the current project.
Qualifications
* Bachelors Degree in Sciences or Engineering.
Knowledge and/or Experience
* 8 years overall experience with Large Projects in Construction related disciplines (e.g., construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up, etc.) in the Oil & Gas Industry, including strong experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel. Additional relevant work experience may be substituted for technical education.
* Involvement in the development and implementation of preservation activities of major offshore production facilities.
Technical and Business Skills
* Experience with Oil and Gas companies, contractors, service companies, or heavy construction companies.
* Knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria related to major fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution, and hook-up, as applicable to the project scope.
* Knowledge of offshore facilities and structures, onshore facilities, or yard operations as applicable to a project scope.
* Knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities.
* Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations,Projects, Subsurface, etc.
