Job Purpose
Key Accountabilities
(Duties include but not limited to)
- Responsible and accountable to review, comment, and approve construction execution and related procedure specifications, and deliverables prepared by the EPC-3/BOP CONTRACTOR. Leadership and "work as a team" behaviour and attitude towards EPC-3/BOP CONTRACTOR as as its Subcontractors to achieve Project objectives
- Work in a dynamic multiple locations team environment that has high expectations for flawless Project Execution in safety, quality, cost and schedule performances, which requires the incumbent to demonstrate capacity to take workload, work with accuracy, take initiatives, be inventive and have the ability to multi-task. Working effectively within established procedures and participates in all important meetings and workshops (e.g. weekly and monthly meetings, 3D Model reviews, Constructability, Construction and Completion Sequence Reviews).
- Strong ability to influence others who are not in his direct control to achieve Poejct objectives. Bring solutions and provide support but not generate "micro-management" or unnecessary works to the Team and/or the EPC-3/BOP Contractor. Be inventive to bring technical and execution solutions that favor safe construction execution and transition to commissioning activities.
- Facilitate periodic meetings with the PMT and contractors as necessary.
Reporting and Relationships
- Reports to Construction Area Manager Corridors.
External - EPC Contractor Construction, Safety, Quality, and Support organizations. RLIC and 3rd party Asset owners.
Job Context & Major
Challenge(s)
- Large, "one of a kind", complex LNG Project with large construction scope, quantities and direct man-hours involved.
- Working within complex permit to work systems, building and maintaining strong relationships with many interface parties.
- "Start with end in mind" Project, with the necessity to achieve a smooth and flawless construction execution and transfer to the commissioning team.
- Be inventive on construction execution and methods, bring experience from other large and complex projects, in particular LNG facilities.
- Intergrative mindset - must be able to seek win-wins and balance trade-offs, putting the overall project objectives first.
Minimum Requirements
Technical and Business Skills
- Good organizational, planning, communication, and execution skills
- Computer literacy (MS Office, SAP)
- Developed coordination and planning skills.
Behavioural Skills
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with several organisational levels
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline; extensive and varied experience can make up for lack of advanced qualifications.
- Trade school or industry specific courses related to pipelines/piping construction an advantage.
- Technical background as a discipline engineer, Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or Construction Superintendent, Construction Manager with solid Project Execution experience .
Knowledge and/or Experience
- Minimum of 12 years' experience in Project Execution, with a strong background in fabrication, construction and management of pipeline construction activities.
- Extensive LNG and piping experience required.
- Knowledge of modularization, preassembly and critical lifts.
- Experience within RLIC and with RLIC permitting systems a strong advantage.
- Experience with multi-cultural type Projects.
