Interface Lead


Job Purpose


 Identify, develop, coordinate, expedite and steward closure of Interfaces with

 Manages all FEED/EPC Project Interface requirements.

Reporting and Relationships

 Reports to Head of Interface (CO2 Sequestration Project).  Direct reports: None. Internal  Frequent contact with Engineering Division Interface with various project

teams and departments on resolving related issues that requires effective communication, initiative, flexibility and an ability to induce collaboration.

External  Frequent contact with EPC Contractor/subcontractors and project

stakeholders at site

Job Context & Major Challenge(s)

 Interfaces with various Project teams and departments on resolving related

issues that requires effective communication, initiative, flexibility and an ability to induce collaboration.

 Interacts effectively with QatarEnergy LNG management and external stakeholders and other entities to list, address, expedite and resolve interfaces issues.

 Support Head of Project Engineering EPC to manage Project Management Control System (PMCS) Interface Management Module initial set-up with Contractor, training program and routine maintenance.

 Manage multiple technical interface agreements. Ensure that the overall integrity of the facilities is maintained, and the interfacing parties fully understand their accountabilities and responsibilities.

Key Job Accountabilities

1. Manage all technical Interfaces, ensure comprehensive, multi-functional review of all requests and meets Project objectives, requirements, budget, and schedule.

2. Assess information on overall Interface Agreements (IA) process performance and implement improvements ensuring that the process is fit for purpose, accepted by the Contractor, is appropriate, well established and maintained. Manage guidelines and procedures necessary to support and control the Interface Agreement (IA) process within Project organisation.

3. Plan and organize the interface works and activities based on identified interfaces and priorities. Provides clear, accurate, timely, and consistent two-way communication with other organizations (internal & external) with respect to the exchange and alignment of interfaces related information and documentation.

4. Coordinates inputs from Contractor's, engineering, and construction teams to receive timely approvals of technical work packs.

5. Responsible for ensuring timely evaluation, co-ordination, expediting and approval of technical work packs

6. Promote clear, accurate, timely, and consistent communication with internal organizations with respect to transferring interface information and documentation.

7. Implements and maintains the Contract's PMCS Interface Management Module to coordinate Contractor interfaces related works and activities.

8. Review, coordinate comments to support approval of the Interface Management Plan. Support organising of Interface Management Workshops, as required to achieve mutual understanding of all parties involved and meet Project objectives.

9. Attend Interface Weekly and Monthly meetings; attend to the Project Monthly Meeting with Contractors. Ensure minutes of meetings are issued and steward close out of action including update of the Interfaces Registers and Databases.

10. Timely Identify and report area of concerns or unresolved interfaces issues to the management. Responsible for generating weekly and monthly Interface reports. Provides input to weekly management reports.


Qualifications

 Bachelor's degree in Sciences or Engineering.

Knowledge and/or Experience

 8 years of interface management experience in large-scale oil and gas projects, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.

 Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies.

 Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Engineering, Projects, Subsurface, etc.

 Experience in developing Interface Management Plans, developing interface management processes, and creating project interface registers and interface reporting systems.

 Proficiency in interface management software.  Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple

interface activities simultaneously.  Experience in projects requiring complex interface coordination

during project FEED and EPCI contract phases.  Experience with project execution, including logistics, installation,

and commissioning activities.

Technical and Business Skills

 Excellent oral and written English skills. Able to write technical reports in English.

 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  Strong leadership skills.
