Job Purpose


  • Manage the flow assurance engineering activities for North Field Expansion (NFXP) Offshore Project; to provide support to NFXP Offshore Area Manager of Topsides & Pipeline Engineering.


  • Key Accountabilities

    (Duties include but not limited to)


  • Councels the contractor's flow assurance engineering for Offshore topsides and pipeline engineering, to ensure they comply with the contract requirements including codes and standards. Motivate the contractor to promote compliance.
  • Supervises the development of Contractors Flow Assurance studies, reports and ensures operability envelope of Gas & MEG Pipelines for start-up, normal operation and transient conditions. Supervises the Flow Assurance engineering interface between Topsides, pipelines and onshore facilities.
  • Coordinates risk management activities such as Design Risk Assessment; provide support to Operations and Commissioning advisors on specialized detailed flow assurance engineering.
  • Participate in key design workshops to ensure that flow assurance engineering recommendations are correctly implemented, and actions closed before the end of EPCI (Lessons Learned, Value Engineering, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, engineering criticality assessment, etc.).
  • Coordinate the engineering interface between other topsides engineering disciplines, onshore facilities (offshore scope) and pipeline engineering and the following teams: Operations, Drilling, Well Management, Jacket, Pipelines from the topside's perspective and Onshore Project Team.
  • Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SME's) with respect to the disciplines involved in delivery of the flow assurance engineering related to topsides, pipelines engineering and ensures endorsement of process technical deviations to Company specifications when required.
  • Coordinate Offshore Commissioning/start-up Reviews, Pre-Start-up Reviews etc. and provide guidance and input during detailed design for the Offshore Packages as required and provide guidance and input into Contractor strategies/procedures to achieve project Integration objectives as required.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering.

    Knowledge and/or Experience

    • 10 years of experience in discipline with at least five years demonstrated senior engineering experience in major capital projects and flow assurance engineering experience.
    • Experience with EPCI contractors, sub-contractors and vendors involved in the oil and gas industry.
    • Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
