Engineering Lead (Electrical)

Job Purpose


 Responsible for overseeing and leading electrical engineering activities in all NFW Offplot projects and particularly dedicated to the Onshore Common Lean LNG/LPG Storage and Loading Expansion Project.

The position ensures all electrical engineering design requirements, such as project philosophies, specifications, codes, standards, and practices, are in full compliance with project, QatarEnergy LNG, and Kahramaa requirements.

 The position shall deliver discipline results to the highest technical quality standards and provide clear guidance to the FEED and EPC contractor, including facilitating resolution of technical issues such that all electrical design activities meet project objectives.

Key Job Accountabilities


1. Demonstrate personal SHES leadership and excellent SHES behaviours at all times. Perform as a safety leader through setting and exhibiting the highest safety standards of behaviour and actions to the workforce. Actively participate in Toolbox Talks, Task Instructions and site safety walkthroughs.

2. Ensure electrical engineering activities are conducted in accordance with local regulatory requirements, codes and standards, project specifications and industry practices. Ensure that Contractors/Subcontractors are conducting engineering design in accordance with project requirements, specifications, and safe practices.

3. Resolve electrical discipline issues timely to ensure engineering designs meet NFXP/NFW Project's expectations and objectives.

4. Ensure approved design recommendations and programs are utilized by the Project to improve design integrity, reduce inefficiencies, and maintain high safety and risks standards.

5. Steward Contractors' electrical design and execution activities in accordance with specifications, verify adequacy of Contractor resources and personnel competency for the tasks, employment of appropriate tools including use of approved technical software.

6. Coordinate and analyse discipline issues for resolution. Provide Electrical Engineering input to other engineering disciplines, construction, procurement, Quality etc as necessary. Support commissioning and system completing activities and make appropriate recommendations to management on electrical discipline matters.

Qualifications


 Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

Knowledge and/or Experience

 8 years experience in Engineering roles, including 4 years in the Oil & Gas Industry, and including 1 year experience in a supervisory or acting role, or oversight of contractor/sub- contractors/service/vendor personnel.

 Experience with Oil & Gas Companies, EPC contractors, sub- contractors, vendors or service companies involved in the oil and gas industry.

 Experience managing contractors and third-party vendors, in several phased of the projects; preferably done a complete project from FEED to Start-up.

 Experience in technology adoption and implementation of continuous improvement.

 Experience with sour service gas and LNG facilities (for Onshore)  Experience in high-voltage transmission and medium-voltage Distribution

 Brownfield engineering and execution knowledge
