Electrical Engineer


Supervise the electrical maintenance (preventive and corrective) activities for client plants ensuring advanced trouble shooting of equipment or systems are not performing as expected as well as compiling and recording maintenance data and tests/inspections/calibrations results in the respective system.


  • Organize planned maintenance of equipment and systems as per job plans and suppliers' manuals.
  • Organize, supervise and control subcontracted work, determine schedules, sequences and assignments for work activities.
  • Compile and record maintenance data and tests/inspections/calibrations results.
  • Provide technical support to the field regarding the trouble shooting, inspection, and repair of client electrical assets.
  • Manage all preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM)
  • Establish and maintain equipment condition information data base
  • Lead and participate in electrical engineering activities that improve the reliability of Air Liquide assets and optimize maintenance costs
  • Lead or participate on RCA's involving electrical incidents or electrical equipment failures.
  • Control Management of Change (MoC) within his discipline and make recommendations to Engineering management concerning the technical necessity of any changes.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize the electrical equipment performance and replenish the used spare parts and arrange spare part accordingly.
  • Participate in vulnerability studies and Root Cause Analyses and in development of annual maintenance schedules and budget.
  • Assess the requirement of reliability/ safety/ efficiency related electrical improvement works and estimate the capex budget.
  • Monitor and control electrical OPEX and CAPEX budget.
  • Oversee the planning, scheduling and material procurement for maintenance jobs, outages and turnarounds.
  • Ensure a safe and cost-effective management of Plant Turnarounds (TARs), unscheduled maintenance and capital projects from identification and justification through completion stage.
  • Participate in the installation and commissioning of new projects and develop maintenance technical procedures of new electrical equipment.
  • Train and develop new comer and existing workers ensuring all necessary technical, safety trainings and instructions are provided in compliance with GIMS requirements.
  • Provide first instructions to visitors and other plant personnel in case of emergency or a site visit.
  • Identify emergency situations and perform security and safety reporting ensuring all HSE&Q instructions are strictly followed by workers in the shift and the root cause analysis of events, development of the corrective and preventive measures is done in compliance with GIMS requirements.

  • Conduct annual and mid-year performance reviews for his subordinates, prepare performance development plans and generate the necessary documentation for completing performance evaluations.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Departments especially in production and / or maintenance field.
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable

    Minimum Experience:

    • 8+ years of proven experience as an Electrical Engineer in a maintenance environment, preferably 3+ years in supervisory roles.
