JOB DESCRIPTION

Construction Lead (Topside Delivery) North Field Production Sustainability


Job Purpose

* Responsible for Leading fabrication of topsides and associated structures for NFPS scope in Karimun Indonesia up to sailaway to ensure objectives are safely met and according to applicable quality standards within the approved scope and schedule.

Reporting and Relationships

* Reports to Head of Fabrication (Topside)

* Direct reports: 0

Internal

* Frequent contact with Construction Supervisors, Site HSE Head, Site Quality Head and Site Engineering Lead, Lifting Specialist, T&I Specialist.

* Periodic contact with Systems Completions Lead, Discipline Inspectors, Site Quality Lead, Planning Lead and Scaffolding Specialist.

External

* Frequent contact with Contractor Fabrication Leads, HSE Leads, Quality Leads, Methods Engineers, Planning Engineers.

* Periodic contact with Contractor workforce.

Job Context & Major Challenge(s)

* Manage assigned project topsides construction site activities in yard to ensure the technical objectives are safely met within the approved scope and schedule even in the face of potential engineering changes or procurement delays.

* Minimize or eliminate late activities that could become offshore carry over work or delay sailaway dates.

* Interfaces with various project teams and departments on resolving related issues that require effective communication, initiative, flexibility, and an ability to induce collaboration amongst groups that have different decision drivers or leadership behaviors.

* Recognize delivery dates for this project.

1. Responsible for the construction of assigned topsides facilities, through the Contractor, including fabrication, installation, and Mechanical Completion of piping, electrical, instrumentation, telecoms, mechanical equipment, and other associated systems.

2. Focal point at site, for promoting and implementing safety on construction site including implementing safety observations reporting and monitoring closure.

3. Anticipate, prepare, and manage all topsides construction activities, liftings and load- out activities of the Project to ensure the technical objectives are met within the approved scope, budget and schedule.

4. Monitor engineering and procurement activities for these topsides and facilitating issue resolution to ensure timely delivery of engineering and procurement by CTR to the Fabrication Yards.

5. Lead the topsides fabrication and loadout teams and keep the team committed to targets defined by the site management.

6. Monitor and appraise Contractor's performance and recommend corrective action to be taken where deficiencies are detected; verify effective actions are implemented.

7. Review, approve and implement Contractor topsides fabrication construction plans and schedule including Level 4 schedule details and work packages.

8. Review all fabrication changes, including justification for cost and schedule impacts, in accordance with the PMOC procedure.

9. Maintain a comprehensive register of all fabrication and loadout lessons learned to support continues improvement and future project planning.


Person Specification

Qualifications

* Bachelors Degree in Sciences or Engineering.

Knowledge and/or Experience

* 8 years' experience with Large Projects in Construction related disciplines (e.g., construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up, etc.) in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 years of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.

* Excellent track record in construction safety results.

* Experience with major EPC contractors, sub-contractors and vendors involved in the oil and gas industry.

* Experience with projects, Shareholder projects (e.g., Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil, Shell, TotalEnergies, etc.).

* Broad knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria related to major fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution, and hook-up, as applicable to the project scope.

* Good knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities.

* Experience with Indonesian fabrication yards.

Technical and Business Skills

* A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English.

* Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications.

* Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from variety of cultural backgrounds.

* Worldwide experience with contractors in particular those involved in the construction of Offshore LNG production facilities.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a PMT.
