Chiller Specialist


Provide specialized assistant in scheduling and servicing chiller maintenance and repair work through diagnosing and repairing of electronic, mechanical and electrical components of the systems.


  • Maintain and repair chiller systems of all types, air and water cooled, for both commercial and industrial customers.
  • Lead role in defining the training, materials, and tools needed to support our Chiller maintenance base.
  • Work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to Mechanical Engineer and to customers.
  • Maintain good working order of company vehicle including refuelling as necessary, reporting any mechanical issues.
  • Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
  • Document all equipment installations: make, model, serial number, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary.
  • Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer's recommendations, and explain fully to customer what the issue is and what is needed to correct.
  • Communicate to dispatch, parts procurement, supervisors and managers, as needed, to keep company and customers informed about work progressions.
  • Provide detailed, complete and timely paperwork and required
  • Carryout all preventive maintenance work orders released in Maximo as per the schedule and without delinquent.
  • Participate in vulnerability studies and Root Cause Analyses and in development of annual maintenance schedules and budget.
  • Oversee the planning, scheduling and material procurement for maintenance jobs, outages and turnarounds
  • Participate in the new project recommissioning and commissioning activities, witness the testing, installation. Prepare and follow up the punch list items.
  • Assist Mechanical engineer to estimate the OPEX and CAPEX budget.
  • Train and develop new comer and existing workers ensuring all necessary technical, safety trainings and instructions are provided in compliance with GIMS requirements.
  • Provide first instructions to visitors and other plant personnel in case of emergency or a site visit.

  • Identify emergency situations and perform security and safety reporting ensuring all HSE&Q instructions are strictly followed by workers in the shift and the root cause analysis of events, development of the corrective and preventive measures is done in compliance with GIMS requirements.
